The Alligator Bus was involved in a minor accident this afternoon in HWY 67 near the state line. Park Elementary Principal Heather Clifton and CHS, Principal John Hampton are on the scene along with members of Corning PD and EMTs. All parents and guardians of the students have been notified. All students on the bus have been assessed by EMTs and a second bus is on the scene ready to transport them home. The bus sustained minor damage and will be driven away from the scene. We will keep our parents, guardians, students, and community informed as further information becomes available.

Basketball Homecoming is December 8, 2023 at 5:30.
All homecoming maids, 9th and 12th grade boys basketball players will need to meet in the auditorium for pictures at 3:30.

Attention Bobcat fans. As our Sr High football team departs from the High School today at 12:30, there will be a very informal parade. The bus will leave the high school and travel down Bobcat Lane to Hwy 67. Turn left and head through the stop light going straight in front of the funeral home and up to Harb street. Then turn right and head to Park Elementary School. If any fans would like to show their support and cheer or boys to victory we will depart the High School at 12:30.

Attention parents of bus riders. Due to flooding, the buses will not be able to run certain routes in the morning. If the bus does not come by your house please call your child’s school and let them know. We do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

Attention CMS CHS car line parents and guardians. The intersection of Bobcat Lane and highway 67 is closed down. After you pick up your students please make plans to turn off of Bobcat Lane before you reach hwy 67.

Following a playground injury on the Park campus today, we’d like to thank our local first responders, Corning Police Department, Corning Fire and Rescue, AirEvac LifeTeam, AMMC Ambulance Services. and our Park school nurse and faculty for the quick response and excellent care extended to our student. This community truly cares about our schools and our children. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped today.

FYI. Today at 4:30 Corning School District will be conducting test on the Districts alarm system.

Pee Wee basketball forms must be in tomorrow

Today's volleyball games against KIPP Delta have been canceled.

Yesterday, it was reported that a student threatened to cause harm at the District’s homecoming events. We reported the alleged threat to law enforcement and conducted an investigation. Our investigation revealed the report was a false accusation made against the student and meant to be a joke. Please talk with your students about how it is never acceptable to joke about a threat to our District or to make false allegations against others. We will have additional police present at the homecoming game on Friday to help alleviate any concerns. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our schools safe.
