Parents and Guardians: CSD is seeking your input on a waiver request to DESE to start the 24-25 school year before August 19. Currently the law states that schools cannot begin the school year before the week in which August 19 falls. As is the case next year, August 19 falls later than usual which severely limits the number of student instructional days in the fall semester.
